Terms & Conditions

Article 1: Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to accommodation agreements and any related contracts entered into between the Guest and this Guesthouse. Matters not stipulated herein shall be governed by applicable laws, regulations, and generally accepted practices.
In the event the Guesthouse agrees to a special arrangement that does not contravene any law or general custom, such arrangement shall take precedence over these Terms and Conditions.

Article 2: Application for Accommodation Contract

A person who wishes to apply for an accommodation contract with this Guesthouse shall provide the following information:
1. Name of the Guest
2. Date(s) of stay and estimated time of arrival
3. Accommodation charges (generally based on the basic charges listed in Appendix 1)
4. Any other information deemed necessary by the Guesthouse

Should the Guest request an extension of stay beyond the originally reserved period, such a request shall be considered a new application at the time it is made.

Article 3: Conclusion of the Accommodation Contract

The accommodation contract shall be deemed concluded when the Guesthouse accepts the application set forth in the preceding article. However, this shall not apply if the Guesthouse can provide evidence of having declined the application.
Upon conclusion of the contract, the Guest shall pay the full amount of the accommodation charges, as indicated in Article 2(1)(3), by the date specified by the Guesthouse.
The application deposit shall be applied firstly to the accommodation charges payable, and in cases where Articles 6 or 18 apply, secondly to any applicable cancellation or compensation fees. Any remaining amount shall be refunded upon final settlement as provided in Article 12.
If the deposit is not paid by the designated date, the accommodation contract shall become null and void, provided that the Guesthouse has duly informed the Guest of such a deadline.

Article 4: Special Provision for Waiver of Deposit Payment

Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 3(2), the Guesthouse may, after concluding the contract, agree to waive the requirement for a deposit.
In cases where the Guesthouse does not request a deposit or does not specify a payment deadline, it shall be construed that such a waiver has been granted.

Article 5: Refusal to Conclude Accommodation Contract

The Guesthouse reserves the right to decline the conclusion of an accommodation contract under the following circumstances:

1. When the application does not comply with these Terms and Conditions
2. When required information under Article 2(1) is not provided, or if false information is submitted
3. When the application is deemed to have been made for unlawful purposes or by improper means
4. When the applicant has a history of repeated excessive cancellations or similar conduct
5. When no accommodation is available due to full occupancy
6. When the applicant is deemed likely to act in violation of laws, public order, or morals
7. When the applicant is recognized as a member or affiliate of an organized crime group or other antisocial organization
8. When the applicant is deemed likely to engage in violent acts, threats, extortion, gambling, possession or use of illegal substances, or other illegal or improper conduct within the Guesthouse
9. When the applicant has caused significant disturbance to other guests or is likely to do so
10. When the applicant is confirmed or strongly suspected to be infected with a designated infectious disease as defined under the Hotel Business Act
11. When the applicant refuses to cooperate with measures necessary for the prevention of infectious disease transmission
12. When the applicant makes unreasonable demands exceeding the bounds of rational hospitality service
13. When the applicant has previously posted defamatory or inflammatory content on social media targeting the Guesthouse or its staff, or has otherwise harmed the reputation or operations of the Guesthouse
14. When accommodation becomes impracticable due to natural disaster, facility failure, or other unavoidable circumstances
15. When the Guesthouse is required to lease the facility to national or local government authorities for public health purposes, such as during an epidemic

Article 6: Guest's Right to Cancel Contract

The Guest may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying the Guesthouse.
If the cancellation is due to a reason attributable to the Guest (excluding cases where the Guest cancels before the payment deadline stipulated in Article 3, Paragraph 2), a cancellation fee shall apply in accordance with Appendix 2. However, if a special provision under Article 4 has been agreed upon, such fees will only apply if the Guesthouse informed the Guest in advance of the applicable cancellation charges.
If the Guest does not arrive by the expected arrival time on the check-in date without prior notice, the Guesthouse may regard the reservation as cancelled by the Guest.

8.      Grounds for refusal in Article 5 come to light after the contract is concluded.

9.      False information is found in the registration under Article 8.

10.  The Guest smokes in bed, tampers with fire safety equipment, or otherwise violates fire prevention rules.

If the contract is terminated under items 3 through 14, no refunds will be issued, and if payment has not been made, a penalty equivalent to the accommodation fee will be charged. The Guest will also be prohibited from future use of the Guesthouse.
In the case of termination under items 1, 15, or 16, charges will not be incurred for services not received.

If the Guest wishes to pay using vouchers or credit cards, those must be presented at the time of registration.

Article 9: Declaration of Non-Involvement in War Crimes

For safety reasons, the Guesthouse may request that Guests sign a voluntary “Declaration of Non-Involvement in War Crimes” upon check-in.
This request may apply to individuals who meet all of the following conditions:

2.      Were members of the military or paramilitary forces during the periods when such violations occurred

Refusing to sign this declaration will not result in denial of accommodation.

Article 10: Use of Guest Rooms

Guestrooms are available for use from 3:00 PM until 11:00 AM the following day.
For multi-night stays, the room may be used continuously for the reserved period, notwithstanding the above time limits.

Article 14: Guesthouse’s Liability

If the Guesthouse causes damage to the Guest through failure to fulfill the accommodation contract or related agreements, it shall compensate the Guest for such damage. However, this does not apply if the damage is not attributable to the Guesthouse.

Article 15: Inability to Provide Contracted Room

If the Guesthouse is unable to provide the room agreed upon in the contract, it will, with the Guest’s consent, make every effort to arrange accommodation at another facility under similar conditions.

Article 16: Handling of Deposited Items

The Guesthouse shall not be liable for loss, damage, or destruction of items, cash, or valuables brought into the premises by the Guest, unless caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Guesthouse.
If a Guest wishes to store items in the lounge before check-in or after check-out, the Guesthouse accepts no responsibility for loss or damage. The following conditions apply:

l  Storage is only available from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on the day of check-in or check-out.

l  Items not retrieved by the deadline will be stored for a maximum of three days.

l  During that period, the Guesthouse will attempt to contact the Guest using the contact details provided at registration.
